New Blackfin Replacement Skeg

Ever had the frustration of damaging the skeg on your outboard leg and not be able to get it repaired until you get back home? Well not any more. The remarkable new Blackfin Replacement Skeg is a new DIY replacement skeg for on the spot repair of damaged skegs for outboards and stern drives.

Imported from the USA the Blackfin is made of high impact nylon composite and is easy to install with no drilling or changes to your motor or boat. It comes in kit form with all materials and full instructions.

To fit, simply insert the special shock absorbing adhesive into a standard corking gun and apply to the remaining skeg. The adhesive provides a special barrier against the walls of the skeg which results in an absorption void with elastic properties in the event of an impact. The Blackfin is incredibly tough and will take most of the brunt upon impact.

The unique contoured design improves the flow of water decreasing cavitation and reducing slide on turns as well as improving fuel economy.

Whilst designed as a replacement skeg, many boat owners are fitting the Blackfin to undamaged and new skegs to provide protection and improved performance.
